Saying for the topping-out ceremony

A topping-out speech is a tradition with which one:

- acknowledges successful construction progress,
- thanks the craftsmen involved in the shell construction and
- symbolically blesses the building.

It is also used to express good wishes for the continued success of the construction and the well-being of the future residents or users.

A glass of wine or schnapps is often drunk and the glass is then deliberately smashed - this is considered a good omen for the construction.

Our job was to engrave the topping-out speech on plywood so that the builder can hang this speech visibly in his building.

Technical parameters for engraving light plywood

Material: plywood
Color: light
Power: 60%
Speed: 75%
khz: 30 kHz
Passes: 1
Focus shift: 0
Air cooling: 0
Mode: raster
Laser: CO2
Resolution: 600 DPI
Font: Agency FB
Duration: 624 seconds

Notes:
The trick to engraving plywood is the quality of the source material. The best engraving image is obtained by using a very uniform wood. Very different areas in the surface, knots and resins lead to differences in the color of the lines, the depth of the engraving and can even lead to the source material burning.

Too much resin also clogs the exhaust air filters.
