Glass - Engraving of glass floor

As part of a small series of tests, we gave whiskey glasses a personal logo that is perceived when drinking.
The engraving was created mirror-inverted.

The art of engraving glass lies in the dosage of energy. Too much energy quickly leads to sharp edges on the edge of the engraved area. This can cause injury during use or cleaning.

The trick to a clean and not-so-sharp surface is to use a wet kitchen towel to absorb the energy that hits it.

Technical parameters of glass engraving:

Engraving color: black
Performance: 60%
Speed: 30%
kHz: 25MHz
Passes: 1
Focus shift: 0
Air cooling: 0
Engraving mode: raster
Laser source: CO2
Resolution: 600DPI
Maschine: Gravograph LS900 edge

Coat the glass with a wet kitchen towel before lasering, otherwise the glass will be too sharp-edged. The wet cloth must lie flat. Any wrinkles, bubbles or gaps can be seen in the laser image afterwards.
