Glass - Engraving of beer glasses

In recognition of 30 years of social commitment, a local service club commissioned us to develop a personal gift for its members.

Our concept was a beer glass with an all-round engraving, consisting of the club's logo and the various social activities that the members carried out during their membership. In this way, the members of the service club could talk about their campaigns and projects in a relaxed manner over a beer.

We specifically designed the surrounding text for the "Willi" mug so that there is no visible edge.

The engraving of such a glass is quite complex because the engraved surface requires a rotation axis that covers 360° and the process takes about 18 minutes per glass.

Technical parameters for engraving glass:

Material: Willi cup 0.5 liters
Engraving colour: black
Performance: 60%
Speed: 30%
Frequency: 25KHz
Passes: 1
Focus shift: 0
Air cooling: 0
Mode: Grid
Laser: CO2 40W
Resolution: 600DPI

Hints:
Coat the glass with a wet kitchen towel before lasering, otherwise the glass will be too sharp-edged. The wet cloth must be completely smooth, any wrinkles, bubbles or gaps can be seen in the laser image afterwards!
