Paper - Cutting out envelopes and paper cards

As part of a marketing project, we developed an advent calendar with 24 travel destinations for a customer.

The trick was to carefully dose the lasers energy to avoid charring and soot at the turning points of the cuts in the paper.

The tried-and-tested process would certainly have been suitable for a small series. However, we suspect that using a conventional cutting plotter leads to a lower overall price and completely rules out possible burns on the products.

Technical parameters for engraving paper:

Materials: paper, sticker and envelope
Color: Black with vector
Performance: 7%
Speed: 20%
Frequency: 25KHz
Passes: 1
Focus shift: 0
Air cooling: yes
Mode: Vector
Laser: CO2 40W
Resolution: 500DPI

Hints:
Cooling of the cutting point must be well dosed so that the paper does not fly away but also does not burn.

Envelopes are blasphemed by inserting a stainless steel business card through which the laser cannot go.

Stencil is used as the font.
